Even when it hurts… – I’m Still Here…

December 30, 2025 by Aida M'rae

Today marks the release of my new song “Still Here”.
In a time where so much feels temporary – where connections shift quickly and certainty is rare – this song is about staying. About choosing presence over escape. About making a quiet, inner promise to remain, even when things feel fragile or unfinished.

“Still Here” grew out of a phase of rebuilding trust. Slowly. Gently. With setbacks and pauses along the way. It reflects the understanding that healing doesn’t rush, and that strength doesn’t always look loud or fearless. Sometimes it’s simply the decision to keep showing up – again and again – even when it hurts.

The words “with you” are intentionally open. They can mean a person, a memory, a feeling, or the part of yourself that refuses to give up. For me, the song holds hope, calm, and a quiet resilience. Not because everything is suddenly easy, but because staying is sometimes the bravest choice we can make.

Releasing this song feels grounding. Like placing something honest into the world without needing to explain it away. If “Still Here” gives you a sense of comfort, strength, or the feeling that you’re not alone – even for a moment – then it has already found its place.

I’m still here.
And maybe you are, too.
Yours Aida
