Today feels bright in a very different way. After releasing my first song, sharing something so vulnerable with the world, I’m incredibly grateful to now share my second release: “Born To Shine.”
This song feels like a new chapter – not just musically, but personally. Putting it out there fills me with a quiet kind of happiness, the kind that comes from finally standing behind your own truth.
“Born To Shine” was written during a time when I felt emotionally overwhelmed by expectations and pressure. After an inner breakdown, I reached a point where continuing the same way simply wasn’t possible anymore. Something had to change. The song grew out of that moment – the decision to start over, to free myself from an environment that made me feel small, and to leave self-doubt behind.
At its core, this song carries a realization that changed everything for me: I don’t have to adapt to fit the wishes, ideas, or expectations of others. I don’t need to become smaller, quieter, or different to be accepted. I am who I am – and that is enough. Writing these lyrics felt like reclaiming a part of myself I had been holding back for far too long.
Releasing “Born To Shine” feels lighter than my first release, but no less meaningful. There’s joy in sharing it – and hope that these words might resonate with others who are going through similar moments of doubt, pressure, or inner transition. If this song gives even one person a bit of strength, clarity, or courage to trust themselves again, then it has already done what it was meant to do.
This is the next step in my journey – not perfect, not polished, but honest. Thank you for listening, for feeling, and for walking this path with me.
This is me, choosing to shine.
